Judy Jenkin

Founder of Equine Assisted Learning Limestone, Teacher and Farmer, Judy Jenkin brings a unique lens to Equine Assisted Learning. Judy has a lifetime of relationship with horses, her journey has been interesting and encompassed vast experiences from many aspects of the horse world. This has included elite sport (eventing), industry (racing), breeding (sport horses) and training (horsemanship) of horses.

Her personal journey of connection to the land through farming and nurturing of animals led to education and the nurturing of young lives. This lived experience and healing has developed high skill in understanding needs of others and the challenges that impact lives.

Teaching and working with at-risk students, Judy understands the difficulties in accessing meaningful support and is able to accommodate and advocate for her client. She is able to connect with other support providers to compliment a client's program in a unique way.

Judy has been a leading innovator in making Equine Assisted Learning accessible in education and is now being consulted to guide others in connecting Equine Assisted Learning to young people. Judy creates an environment of safety for clients to explore their self-awareness.

Sarai Jenkin

Equine Assisted Learning Practitioner

Sarai has spent her entire life surrounded by farm animals and experiencing the best of the equestrian industry. She now spends her time sharing the benefits of immersion into relationships with animals.

Sarai’s introduction to Equine Assisted Learning was through her mum Judy Jenkin. Assisting Judy in delivering the EAL program to the local primary school allowed Sarai to see first hand the positive impacts made, this created the drive to become a fully qualified EAL practitioner. Since becoming a practitioner, Sarai has cofacilitated an EAL program at Mount Gambier North Primary School, facilitated EAL day programs with drug and alcohol affected youths and is regularly taking EAL private sessions. Sarai values the potential to provide supported guidance for clients in personal development and self awareness with our EALL partners.
